An intimate journey through the astounding beauty and mystical lands of
Sedona, Arizona. A maximum of eight guests per van travel in the comfort
of a Mercedes built touring van.
Our first stop, the ancient cliff dwellings of the original Native inhabitants
of the Verde Valley. View the "apartment type" homes of the Sinagua Indians built into the sandstone cliffs along Beaver Creek. The Sinaguans farmed corn
and beans during the day before climbing ladders to the safety of recessions in
the cliffs high above the lands below.
Deja View From A Different Angle.
We head back through Village of Oak Creek and visit Monumental Bell
Rock and its mysterious vortex. You will also get up close and personal with Cathedral Rock and the Chapel of the Holy Cross.
Oak Creek Canyon.
Rand McNally Calls It Spectacular.
Get ready for one of the most scenic drives you'll ever experience.
This all day tour brings you up close and personal with Oak Creek Canyon
as it descends from the Ponderosa Pine rim edges of Flagstaff,
Arizona into a breathtaking series of switchbacks through a panorama
of red rock monolith cliffs, thick forests of Aspen and Oak as it hugs
the edges of shimmering Oak Creek. On the way to Sedona, we
make stops at Sterling Spring, The West Fork Trail and Historic
Indian Gardens.
This is a narrative tour with a knowledgeable Silver Spur guide that
will tell you all about the history of Sedona, its geological formations,
ancient Native American inhabitants and prehistoric Sedona when it
actually was beneath the ocean sea.
Fashioned after a traditional Mexican village, Tlaquepaque (pronounced "tla keh pah keh"), meaning the "best of everything,"
is home to tasteful galleries and unique shops living in harmony under giant Sycamore trees. If shopping is not your "bag", take a stroll along the serene banks of beautiful Oak Creek.
Ascent Up Oak Canyon To Flagstaff.
The drive up Oak Creek on the way back to Flagstaff gives you an entirely different perspective of the canyon. Before reaching Flagstaff, stop at the Oak Creek Canyon Vista for a last look. Enjoy the crafts of Native American artisans.
