Montezuma Castle
View the “apartment type” ancient cliff dwellings the Sinagua Indians built into the sandstone cliffs along Beaver Creek. The Sinaguans farmed corn and beans during the day before climbing ladders to the safety of recessions in the cliffs high above the lands below.
Red Rock Monuments
Enter Sedona through the Village of Oak Creek and see monumental Bell Rock and its mysterious vortex. You will also get an up close view of Cathedral Rock, home to one of the most energetic vortexes in the area. Cathedral Rock is the major landmark icon in the Sedona area.
Sacred Sedona: Chapel of the Holy Cross
The Chapel of the Holy Cross was completed in 1956 and is considered Marguerite Brunswig Staudes’ masterpiece. Located on land in the Coconino National Forest, it took nearly 20 years of planning, congressional intervention for a special use permit, and 18 months of construction in order to build what today stands as one of Sedona’s premier attractions for travelers of all faiths.
The Chapel is a masterpiece of simplicity. Seated before the cross, visitors can gaze through stained glass windows at the valley beyond, which during the dramatic hours of sunrise and sunset creates images and color displays worthy of any museum. It is here that visitors, even those that come with no religious affiliation or spiritual connection, find the greatest sense of peace and wonder. Cathedral Rock and Bell Rock are both visible from the Chapel, and contribute to the feeling of breathtaking natural grandeur experienced by visitors.
Uptown and Tlaquepaque
Sedona’s “Uptown” is a shopping extravaganza with more than 50 art galleries, metaphysical shops, specialty stores, antiques and more. As you drive through Uptown Sedona our drivers will point out key features and historical sites that you may want to visit during your stay in the area.
Fashioned after a traditional Mexican village, Tlaquepaque (pronounced “tla keh pah keh”), meaning the “best of everything”, is home to tasteful galleries and unique shops living in harmony under giant Sycamore trees. During your stay in Sedona if shopping is not your “bag”, here you can take a stroll along the serene banks of beautiful Oak Creek.
Oak Creek Canyon
Rand McNally Calls It Spectacular. Ascend up Oak Creek Canyon described by Rand McNally as one of America’s Top 5 Most Scenic Drives. A brief stop at Vista Lookout Point over panoramic views. Descend back into the canyon with a stop at Sterling Springs, and narration about The West Fork Trail and Historic Indian Gardens, Sedona’s oldest country store, then continue along the edges of Oak Creek back into Uptown Sedona.
Majestic Red Rocks & Mysterious Vortexes.
Proceed up Airport Mesa with wide angle views across Red Rock Country and the famous red rock monoliths. A scenic drive along the edges of picturesque Boynton Canyon where the Secret Mountain Wilderness contains the mysteries of past civilizations.
Jerome.
Once home to Arizona’s largest copper mine, in the 1950′s Jerome became known as the largest ghost town in the country. Through time it has been plagued by fires that destroyed buildings and mines and gravity that has relocated structures moving them slowly down the mountain. Today Jerome is recognized as a National Historical Landmark and is surviving as an artist community. On your tour enjoy the scenic drive that winds up the mountain and provides wonderful views of the Verde Valley. Once you are there you can take a stroll through this historical town, shop creations from the local artists, and indulge in wine tasting from local vineyards.

Testimonials
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed Silver Spur Tours. We usually try to see places on our own but decided to try a tour and we were glad we did. We were very pleased with our Magical Day in Sedona tour with Paul and Vic. So pleased that we called right after the tour and requested them for our Grand Canyon tour. We were able to get Vic and had a new driver Dwayne. They were both great and again we were absolutely pleased. We will recommend Silver Spur Tours to everyone—what a pleasant experience. ~J & P Giomini
We had an awesome time on our luxurious Sedona Magical Day Tour co-hosted by both Carl and Duane on 4/17/09. The views were spectacular and breathtaking. The hosts were very knowledgeable and gave us so much information I believe we would never have become so well informed if we lived here our entire lives. The meal and treats were high quality and delicious. I am a CPA and I have to tell you this trips was worth far more than its reasonable cost. We will be back for more visits , including the grand canyon trip and Flagstaff the next time we are in the neighborhood. Thank you for making our trip to Sedona memorable forever. ~ Jim & Linda Repp, Wisconsin
